2 Faculty of Economics – Key Facts  Established in 1946  Number of students: -undergraduates: 8,728 (full time, part time) -postgraduates: 1,100 (full time, part time, executive)  Staff: academic – 15 9, admin & support – 92  On October 11, 2006 EFMD awarded FELU the global EQUIS quality accreditation status  Member of EFMD, AACSB, CEEMAN, EDAMBA, NIBES, TEDQUAL

3 Accreditation Goals To maintain EQUIS (European Quality Development) To get AACSB (Association of Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business) till 2009/10

4 Mission and Vision MISSION As the leading national and regional institution, the Faculty of Economics is developing experts in business and economics, a high-quality discipline-based and practice-oriented research program, and the effective transfer of knowledge to business practice. Our primary focus is the European Union and emerging markets. VISION The Faculty of Economics strives to enter the coming decade as the most prominent school in Central and South-East Europe with a significant international recognition based on quality education programs and international accreditation, recognizable research achievements, consulting activities, along with satisfied students, employers and employees.
