5. Signs That Work Goals: Support implementation of graphic symbols based wayfinding systems in innovator health care facilities and develop best practices Develop a sustainable on going program for national testing of graphic symbol designs through a consortium of design schools

12. More FAQs… Will the consortium develop the survey instruments and protocols? Would we develop our own survey, or would we be doing this with the other schools in the consortium? Is Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval required? Assuming IRB approval is needed for all participating design schools will there be a review time after the development of the first public user survey? The course timeline looks aggressive, can programs move from the First Stage Design to the First Public User Survey without IRB approval.
