9  Get into your assigned groups TWO  Get a copy of the blank puzzle form and the TWO pages of puzzle pieces  Get scissors and a glue stick  DO NOT USE YOUR NOTES!!!  DO NOT USE YOUR NOTES!!! You must work together as a group to figure it out.  Use scissors to cut out boxes/puzzle pieces  When you think you have it right, raise your hand and I will double check your puzzle  Glue them onto the blank chart  Turn your completed and checked puzzle (with your names on it) into the basket  When you are done: ◦ Turn in your completed puzzle ◦ Put away glue and scissors ◦ Throw away all paper/trash

33  Stage 3: Tolerance ◦ “I need more of the drug to feel good” ◦ A person develops a tolerance to the drug. The drug may no longer have the same pleasurable effects. The person may suffer from withdrawal symptoms when he or she stops using the drug.

34  Stage 4: Denial ◦ “I don’t have a drug problem” ◦ A person is in denial. He or she does not admit that the drug use is causing problems. The person claims that he or she can stop using the drug at any time.

42  Grab one of each of the FIVE flashcards handouts and a textbook  Starts on page 405  Write the definition on the back of each card  DON’T CUT THEM OUT UNTIL YOU SHOW THEM TO MRS. DYKE!!!  Show them to Mrs. Dyke so she can give you your points  Cut them out and grab a paperclip to keep them together
