3. Credit Transfer Arrangements The full 12 credits of the HNC Admin and IT (G7YV 15) can be transferred to year 2 of HND Admin and IT (G9M8 16) The aims and content of G7YV 15 and G9M7 15 are broadly the same. This block transfer will enhance the manageability of the transition arrangements

4. Transition Arrangements For partially completed awards at HNC (G7YV 15) and HND (G7YW 16), transition arrangements will need to be agreed on a unit- by-unit basis. Transition arrangements are subject to each centres internal verification processes Appendix 4 provides guidance.

5. Articulation to other awards – SQA PDAs SQA Qualifications – the current HNC/D Units are linked to a number of PDAs. The content of the PDAs is CURRENTLY unchanged. However, SQA plans to update the frameworks in line with the revised Units in the near future. Centres will be advised through the usual channels (Update letters and website)

6. Articulation to other awards – Industry Standard Qualifications and Professional Bodies The revised awards continue to provide a range of underpinning skills and knowledge relevant to a number of qualifications awarded by SQA or other awarding bodies. Again centres will need to check the specific detail if seeking additional awards for candidates Membership is automatic for successful candidates for IPA and IAM

7. Articulation to other awards – Higher Education Institutions Every effort was made to ensure that current articulation arrangements between centres and HEIs were unaffected Optional units on the frameworks are varied and current to support reasonable articulation requests Remains centres responsibility to pursue and maintain appropriate articulation arrangements with HEIs.
