3 Fear YYou feel fear when you believe you are in danger. IIt can make you break into a sweat your heart beat rapidly or your hands and feet go cold.

4 love  It is strong affection or deep concern for another person is love.  Love can be expressed in many ways

5 Anger  All people feel anger at times.  Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure that can range from annoyance to complete fury.

6 Grief  The death of someone you love.  The divorce of parents.  Loss of close friends

7 Guilt  Is the feeling of having done something wrong  Many people feel guilty when they are angry at someone they love

8 Repression IIt’s the most basic of all defense mechanism. IIt’s the painful thoughts or feeling are pushed away from conscious thought.

9 Rationalization  Is the act of making an excuse for a behavior  It is an attempt to preserve self-esteem and to avoid feelings of guilt

10 Compensation  Covering up faults or weaknesses by trying to excel in other areas is known compensation.  It often occurs when people fees in secure or expect too much of themselves.

11 Projection  Is seeing your own faults or feelings in other people  Even when they do not have them

12 Idealization  Sometimes people admire someone so much that they see the person as perfection  This defense mechanism know as idealization allows people to see others as they want them to be

13 Daydreaming  People often daydream in order to escape the frustration or hurt.  Is a make-believe that seem that more pleasant or exciting than the real world

14 Regression  It means acting less maturely than you usually would.  People are regressing when they sulk or t5hrow tantrums instead of expressing disappointment maturely

15 Denial IIs the refusal to recognize reality WWhen you are in disbelief

16 Sublimation
