You will be creating a PowerPoint on Symmetry with the focus on Rotational Symmetry Your target audience is 4 th and 5 th graders so try to keep the descriptions simple, the colors bright, and the images amazing. You may use Google and Bing to find images depicting the types of symmetry. You must include the source for any picture you use from the Internet. Copy and paste each web address in the notes section of PowerPoint, on the slide with the image, or on a slide near the end of the presentation.

Title here Title for the presentation on rotational symmetry Image of one or more objects with rotational symmetry Your name

Slide 2 – Types of Symmetry What are the various types of symmetry (Rotational and at least two others) Include an image that shows each of those types of symmetry with an arrow pointing from the type of symmetry to the image.

Slide 3 – Rotational Symmetry Describe rotational symmetry and/or how to tell whether or not an image has rotational symmetry Pick at least one cool looking, colorful image like a snowflake or kaleidoscope as an example.

Slide 4 – Calculating Angle of Rotation Write steps or description of how to calculate the angle of rotation. On this slide or the next, put a picture of a car wheel/rim and draw lines of symmetry Use this video for help: Drawing Lines in PowerPointDrawing Lines in PowerPoint Show the math using the Symbols option to type a degree sign ( ° ) and the division sign (÷).

Slide 5 – the end The end Be creative
