6 Review Day 1  Open your “Meet the Chief” presentation.  Copy an image from the Internet of another black pug. (Hint: Use Google/images to search for one and copy one from there)  Paste this on the “Other Black Pugs” slide. (You should have two images on this slide.)

11 Audience  What do they know?  What do you need to tell them?  What do they expect?  What will be interesting to them?

12 Audience  What can you teach them?  What will keep them focused?

14 Target & Content  Your target (your audience) defines the content of your presentation.  Decide what the purpose of using PowerPoint is…  Stand alone presentation  To teach a process  Main points for a speech  Entertainment (photo album)

15 Simplicity  Keep the design very basic and simple– don’t distract with it.  Pick an easy-to-read font face.  Decorate scarcely but well.  Use key words on slides. No cramming

16 Use Consistency  Consistently use the same font face and sizes on all slides.  Match colors. Color Blender Website

17 Use Contrast  Make sure your audience can read the text on the background.  If you want to play with colors, keep it easy on the eyes and always keep good contrast in mind.

18 Add Images  Use images for the following:  help add meaning or stand alone as the message  can reinforce or complement your message
