4 EQUAL PROJECTS Gender Index - action against women’s discrimination on the labor market by increasing employers’ knowledge Parent- Employee - Professional Development of Parents on Post-Maternity Leave ElaStan – flexible employment - promotion of the flexible forms of employment MISARN - support to the Mentally Competent Youth and Young Adults with Physical Disabilities Rain Man - creation of the model, replicable social enterprise, that will employ people with autism

5 EQUAL PROJECTS Social Economy - defining crucial requirements for the proper functioning of Polish model of social economy. Black Sheep - improving access to the labor market for (ex)- offenders Alliance for work - inclussion of the people aged 45+ at risk of unemployment, who would like to remain professionally and / or socially active, to labor market We can do more - working out a Polish model of a social co- operative on the basis of the experience of other countries Eco-chance - inclussion in the labour market people suffering from social exclusion due to long-term absence from the market

6 GC and EU – where is hiding synergy Partnership again… with private sector of course 1. Using EU funds we are building with private sector useful and practical know-how, needed for them in their daily work 2. Using EU funds we have resourses for media campaigns (visibility) 3. Using EU funds we have support from EC side to develop developed know-how in future

12 Practical example Gender Index action against women’s discrimination on the labor market by increasing employers’ knowledge Objectives  Counteract women discrimination in the workplace by constructing management models for gender sensitive companies  Increase the level of labour law observance among employers in relation to women’s situation in the workplace  Increase the level of employers’ knowledge and interest for activities promoting and empowering women in the workplace

13 Practical example Gender Index action against women’s discrimination on the labor market by increasing employers’ knowledge Activities  Expert work aiming at the creation of research tool concerning the situation of women in a company / in the workplace  Public campaign on gender equality in the workplace with 16 regional debates National competition for a company with the best policy in promoting women and gender equality in the workplace  Gathering good practices concerning gender equality and the workplace in a form of a guide for employers. Building up a training model concerning gender equality and the workplace for employers and other stakeholders.

14 Practical example Gender Index action against women’s discrimination on the labor market by increasing employers’ knowledge Products Gender Index - practical instrument of analysis and control concerning the situation of women in companies Public debate on the situation of women in companies, its wider social background, as well as effects First group of Polish companies identified as having the best gender equality policies Good practices guide prepared for employers and comprehensive training model concerning gender equality and the workplace for employers and other groups involved.

Presentation of company activities in Best Practice Guide “Gender Equality in the Workplace” Participation of company representatives in special trainings “Gender Equality in the Workplace”
