3 What is “meter”? the pattern of stressed and unstressed syllables in a line of poetry U/ U/ U/ U/ U/

19 Define “lyrical poem.” Personal poetry that deals with emotions

20 How do “end rhyme” and “approximate rhyme” differ? End rhyme = the final syllables of lines of poetry sound alike (mat, hat, bat, sat) Approximate rhyme = the final syllables look as though they should sound alike (stood, flood)
