3 Introductions  Please give your name and one thing that your team has done since Team Training in November  Take names of individuals you would like to chat with during networking  Stand when you are speaking and speak to the group

4 Reminders for Spring Training  Staff has been trained on each step you have implemented  The processes and products from those steps are written down, posted and archived  You have a plan for training new staff (do not leave the school year with out a plan)  Implement each step with fidelity before moving forward

5 Practice Profile Template  Use to check for fidelity of implementation  Strive to hit gold standard  If hit acceptable, you may move forward, but always return and try to reach gold standard

7 Team Implementation Checklist (TIC)  Progress monitoring tool used to assess Tier 1 implementation  Are we doing what we said we were going to do?  Evaluation of your PBIS team  What are our strengths that we can acknowledge?  What could we do to improve?  When? 3-5 times per year

8 Team Implementation Checklist (TIC)  Look at your data/the survey on www.pbisapps.orgwww.pbisapps.org  What are the most useful data points for your school & team?  Ideas & strategies for using & reviewing the information from the TIC  Take some time at your PBIS team meetings to complete the survey  Pre-schedule this activity:  Beginning of year  End of semester/middle of year  End of year  Use more as a conversation tool/action planning guide vs. a reflection of the PBIS Coach/core implementers  Pick one (maybe two) things to work on in your action plan

9 Self-Assessment Survey (SAS)  Assessment used to identify the staff perception of the implementation status and improvement priority for school-wide, classroom, non-classroom and individual student systems.  Results of the SAS are effective in identifying the staff priorities for Action Planning.  Total Score  Subscale Score  Item Score  When? Annually

10 Self-Assessment Survey (SAS)  Look at your data/the survey on www.pbisapps.orgwww.pbisapps.org  What are the most useful data points for your school & team?  Ideas & strategies for using & reviewing the information from the SAS  Have a pre-scheduled time during a staff meeting/workshop/in-service that is devoted to having staff complete the survey  Leave the survey open for a week so everyone can complete  Use time during a PBIS team meeting to discuss the results  Add one (maybe two) areas for improvement to your action plan  Bring pertinent results/summary to administration for support

11 School-wide Evaluation Tool (SET)  Research tool designed to assess and evaluate the critical features of PBIS  It should be used in conjunction with other surveys and measures to create a complete picture of your school’s PBIS implementation status.  Information gathered during the SET can be used to:  Assess features in place  Determine annual goals  Evaluate on-going efforts  Design and revise procedures  Compare year to year efforts  When? 1 st year – pre & post, then annually

13 3 Reports for Assessments: Questions to Ponder  Which of the 3 assessments do you start with?  How can we triangulate the assessments?  Which report is the most useful for your team?  What plan is there to share with staff? School boards?  Where do you go with the results?

14 Understanding and Using the Data for Action Planning  We’ve got the data, we’ve invested the time, now what?  Finding time to review the data  After reviewing, meeting with your PBIS Team to discuss action plans  Communicate, communicate, communicate with all staff regarding the road for changes and improvements  Examples of how the data has been used:  Share SAS data and plan for improvement in the fall  Tie the SAS data to your spring SET Eval  Use the TIC data to plan for the year’s PBIS team goals

15 Pair & Share Take 2 minutes to prepare one or two things to share:  Data  How you have shared learnings with staff  How you share data with staff  Active Supervision  How you taught staff active supervision  How you are using active supervision  Positives  How you taught staff 4:1 positives  How you are using 4:1 positives

16 Share-Out Directions Share round-robin – 2 minutes for each share  Introduce yourself with name, school and district name  Share for up to 2 minutes Listen  Take notes with names of coaches sharing  Q and A after all have shared
