2 Essential Questions What are the similarities and differences between the game of disc golf and regular game of golf? How can you improve your accuracy when throwing a disc?

3 HISTORY Disc golf started in the late 60's.
The early Frisbee golf courses were "object courses", using anything as targets. “Steady” Ed Headrick made the modern day Frisbee. The game was formalized when Headrick invented the first Disc Pole Hole™ catching device. Headrick said the disc pole hole minimized arguing during play.

6 HOW TO PLAY Disc Golf is an individual sport
Player starts by teeing off, if there is more than on player, the player whose disc lands furthest from the basket plays first A regulation golf game is 18 holes Points are the number of throws it takes a to put the disc in the basket Winner –the player with the fewest throws at the end of the course. To finish a hole the disc must come to rest in the chains or in the basket

7 DISC GOLF SAFETY Wear athletic shoes, and loose fit clothing, something comfortable to move in. Be aware of your surroundings when one is throwing Play area is debris free Practice proper communication, for example, speaking loud enough for teammates to know where you are on the field. Only throw the disc if others are a safe distance away. Pick up discs only when instructed.
