Exploring and Researching Analyzing and Evaluating I can make sure every page has a title and date. I can stick in pictures neatly, cutting them out and labeling them appropriately. I can find out information about what we have studied in class and write it in my book in my own words. I use all the space on each page. I can compare and discuss the work of different Artists. I can comment on why they made artwork. I can discuss my own work and talk about how to change or improve it. I am starting to take creative risks when I present my research. My sketchbook is looking colorful and exciting. I have selected interesting information to add to the work that we covered in class. I can discuss why and how Artists made different artworks. I can talk about how ideas develop according to context (what was happening in the life of the Artist) I can evaluate my own work, and other peoples, by thinking about why it was made. I can refine my own work after evaluating it. I can find out useful information by doing careful research, and I can present this in my sketchbook. Most of my sketchbook pages have titles and dates. I leave no blank pages. I can do my research by using different resources. I can describe Art work and make comments about it, and explain why I like or dislike it. I can look at other peoples Art work and use it to help me make my own Artwork better.

‘Looking At Art’ book Ceramics I have thought carefully about how to make my book, and make it a little bit different to other peoples. My book has a contents page that has numbers, and numbered pages too. I have researched different things and written about them in my own words. My book is full of colour and excitement because I have experimented with different materials. I have made detailed research and drawn a simple bold design for my pot. I have made a strong pot that has height greater than its width. I have made all my coils uniform in size,. I have tried to make the outside smooth. I have decorated my pot using 2 colours of glaze/ My book is very different and Unique. Ive taken creative risks! My book contains my own experiments inspired by what Ive learnt in class and researched at home. I use the 5 W’s when talking about Art. I have tried out lots of different materials and techniques, and documented my work by writing about what I have done. I have thought carefully about my plan and come up with something practical but exciting. My pot is a n interesting and unique shape – like in my plan. I have attached other pieces of clay and they havent fallen off! The outside of my pot is smooth and strong. My decoration is the same as my planning. I have made a book that is well constructed with no loose pages. My book contains a front cover, a contents page. My book is full of useful information that I have researched from different places. I have tried out using different materials to decorate my book. I have made a piece of pottery with my name and class written clearly on the back. I have made a plan based on patterns I researched at the museum. I have made a coils for my pot. I have attached them to a base, by using tools and my hands.
