Al & Gerry Russ 7/20 Bill Fogg, Jr. hosted by Max Booke FROM YOUR GOVERNOR LEIGH ROBERTS’ PASSING We sadly report that Leigh passed away on Sunday morning, July 15 th. He will be missed. Please remember him and his family in your prayers. The memorial service will be held at Quinn-Shalz funeral home located at 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville Beach at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 19th. The family chose that time to accommodate our Kiwanis Club. In lieu of flowers, Leigh chose Cystic Fibrosis as the charity in his name. Neil Powell July Program Chair Introduced our speaker We are sorry to report that Jim Dunford’s wife, Ginny, passed on July 12 th. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Mr. Worthington is a Certified Estate Planner for Capitas Financial, LLC. He addressed the recent changes in estate, trust and gift tax law, and offered an interesting review of recent legislation that could have an impact on our federal taxes. Thank you Tom for your informative presentation. Bill Montgomery announced an Interclub scheduled for July 19 th with Historic St. Augustine Club. Hope you attended this morning. INTERCLUB President Ed Robinson Tom Worthington Our club consists of the following officers: president, president-elect and/or vice-president, secretary, treasurer, immediate past president, and a board of directors elected by the membership. These officers conduct the business of the club, following the bylaws adopted by the club, and they meet on a monthly basis to conduct such business. Board meetings are scheduled on the first Monday of each month and are subject to change by the new president upon assuming office. Any member is welcome to attend a board meeting, and can comment on any issue before the board or raise a topic, but only officers and board members can vote.
