2. This past Saturday four members of our Beaches club attended Kiwanis' Club Leadership Training hosted by the Westside club. Those in attendance where president-elect, Neil Powell; secretary, Jay Ambler; board of directors member, Dan Kuchta; and past-president, Carl Krouch. Our club had the most amount of leaders present at this weekend's training, and a special thanks goes out to Dan and Carl for so generously volunteering their time to be there to make our club better. The training outlined the duties and responsibilities for the incoming president and secretary, as well as several other critical topics: the duties of Kiwanis' eight standing committees, how to grow membership, successful budget planning, expanding our local K-family, and making an increased call to service projects.
