Module Aims The aim of this learning session is to enable individuals to express and interpret their thoughts, feelings and facts in oral and written form and to interact linguistically in an appropriate way in various social and cultural contexts.

Module Objectives The learners will be able to: –Understand various types of verbal communication –Understand the basic steps for written communication –Develop written communication skills to be used to create several types of documents –Identify features of written language –Identify several types of literary and non literary text –Understand key issues in public speaking –Understand the communication process –Understand paralinguistic features in communication (eg body language and active listening)
