What is a Local Strategic Partnership?  The LSP brings together key organisations from the Public, Private and Voluntary, Community and Faith (3 rd ) Sectors It develops and agrees a Community Strategy or plan for the Borough: Bolton: Our Vision 2007 – 2017 LSPs promote ‘ strategic ’, partnership working to improve the local quality of life In Bolton, the LSP is the Bolton Vision Partnership, including: –Vision Steering Group –Six thematic partnerships –Children ’ s Trust –Sustainable Development Forum –LAA Agencies Group

Benefits of the LSP The vision, aims and priorities for Bolton are agreed by all Clear objectives set out in the Sustainable Community Strategy: Bolton: Our vision 2007-2017 Partners’ individual plans contribute to the agreed aims and priorities Working in partnership is the best way to tackle the most challenging issues; individual organisations cannot tackle these alone Council + Partners working together = Better outcomes for the people of Bolton

Bolton: Our Vision 2007 - 2017 Healthy Bolton: The priorities : –Narrow the health gap by improving the health of those living in the least well off areas –Address the causes of ill health –Tackle drugs and alcohol misuse –Promote independence –Increase physical activity and sports participation
