Present indefinite tense যে কাজ বর্তমানে সচরাচর হয়, অভ্যাস বা চিরন্তন সত্য বুঝায় তাকে Present indefinite tense বলে । Normal structure: sub+verb+(s or es)+ extension সে ভাত খায় = He eats rice Negative structure: sub+do not/does not+verb+extension আমি স্কুলে যাইনা = I do not go to school. Interrogative structure: W/H word do/does+sub+verb+extension তুমি কোথায় যাও ? = Where do you go?

Present continous tense যে কাজ বর্তমান কালে চলিতেছে বা হইতেছে তাকে বুঝায় তাকে Present continous tense বলে । Normal structure: sub+am/is/are+verb+ing+ extension সে ভাত খাইতেছে = He is eating rice Negative structure: sub+am/is/are+not+verb+ing+extension আমি স্কুলে যাইতেছিনা = I am not going to school. Interrogative structure: W/H word +am/is/are+sub+verb+ing+extension তুমি কোথায় যাইতেছ ? = Where are you going?

Present perfect tense যে কাজ এইমাত্র শেষ হইয়া গিয়াছে তাকে Present perfect tense বলে । Normal structure: sub+have/has+verb p. p+ extension সে ভাত খেয়েছে = He has eaten rice Negative structure: sub+do not/does not+verb+extension আমি স্কুলে যাইনাই = I have not gone to school. Interrogative structure: W/H word +have/has+sub+verb p. p.+extension তুমি কোথায় গিয়াছ ? = Where have you gone?

9. Present perfect continuous tense যে কাজ বর্তমান কালে কিছু সময় ধরে চলিতেছে বা হইতেছে তাকে Present perfect continuous tense বলে । Normal structure: sub+has been/have been+verb+ing+ extension note: ন ির্দিস্ট সময় বুঝালে তার পূবে for, অনির্দিষ্টসময় বুঝালে তার পূর্বে since হবে । আমি তিন ঘন্টা যাবত পড়তেছি I have been reading for three hours সে এখানে দুই হাজার তিন সাল হতে বাস করছে He has been living here since 2003.
