3 What is the PeopleTools Upgrade? Foundation layer of PS Financials Controls things like: – Security – Pages/Menus – Database table changes Like getting a new Windows version on your computer

4 Why is the Upgrade Necessary? Out of Vendor Support – Oracle Better Compatibility with Internet Browser Readiness to go to new Application version

5 When Will This Happen? Go-live on Monday, May 12, 2014 PS FINANCIALS will be DOWN on Friday, May 9th Plan your purchases and downtime processing for this day

6 How Will My Account be Affected? SAME: Your userid & password Your favorites Your Run Controls Your scheduled reports/queries Your private queries Navigation DIFFERENT: The URL to PS Financials – will need to update your Internet Browser favorites or Desktop Shortcuts The name will be FPRD89U The Menus and Breadcrumbs Autocomplete functionality

7 Certified Internet Browsers Internet Explorer – Version 10 (compatibility) – Versions 7, 8 & 9 Mozilla Firefox – Versions 7 & 3.6 Safari – Versions 3, 4, 4.3.3, 5, & 6

8 Microsoft Excel - Certified Microsoft Excel – Versions 2007 & 2010

9 What Does it Look Like? You will notice that the colors of the menu screens will be different; however, the menu looks the same upon initial login.

10 What Does it Look Like? – cont’d When you click on a menu item, like: Commitment Control, you will notice breadcrumbs that will appear under the Oracle name and the menu goes away, to leave the icon menu and sub-menus.

11 What Does it Look Like? – cont’d Then I can click on Budget Reports:

12 What Does it Look Like? – cont’d and Budget Status. Then, I can Search for my run controls to run my report.

13 What Does it Look Like? – cont’d Note: now if I want to go back to the Main Menu, I can click on Main menu on the breadcrumbs, and it will bring up a drown-down menu:

14 What Does it Look Like? – cont’d If I would click on a menu option, like eProcurement, then a slide out menu appears.

15 What Does it Look Like? – cont’d Note: Your Favorites will still be listed under the Favorites, if you had saved any. Also, there is a new feature to list your most recent activities under the Favorites menu:

16 What Does it Look Like? – cont’d If you click on Home, then it will take you back to seeing the Main Menu:

17 New Feature – Auto Complete

18 How to Turn Auto Complete Off Click on My Personalizations at the bottom of the menu

19 How to Turn Auto Complete Off – cont’d Click on Personalize Navigation Personalizations

20 How to Turn Auto Complete Off – cont’d Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose No from the drop-down menu by Autocomplete, and click on OK to save this setting.

21 How to Turn Auto Complete Off – cont’d You will get a confirmation that your Personalizations have been saved. Then click on return to go back to the Personalizations menu. You can then click on Home on the Universal Navigation Bar at the top right.

22 Current Available Personalization You may want to consider setting the “Tab over Lookup Button” personalization, if you have not already set it. This is available now in production.

23 Resetting Personalizations If your personalizations seem to not be working correctly, then you can reset them to the system defaults, by click on the Restore Category Defaults OR Restore Defaults.

24 Go-Live Contacts to Report Issues Processing Issues – Will email a listing of contacts for each module Security Issues / Logging In – Email Tina Fletcher at TFLETCHER@gru.edu Error messages & Other – Email PS_FINANCIALS@gru.edu – Include a Print Screen of the error Internet Browser Compatibility Issues – Contact the IT Service Desk at 721-4000
