Police and Crime Standards Directorate Local Strategies for Local Crime Reduction Anne Taylor 28 February 2008 Make Communities Safer - PSA 23 (i) Reduce the most serious violence, including tackling serious sexual offences and domestic violence Indicator: “The level of most serious violent crimes” (measured nationally) (ii) Continue to make progress on serious acquisitive crime through a focus on the issues of greatest priority in each locality and the most harmful offenders – particularly drug- misusing offenders Indicator: “The level of serious acquisitive crimes” (measured at CDRP level)

Police and Crime Standards Directorate Local Strategies for Local Crime Reduction Anne Taylor 28 February 2008 Make Communities Safer PSA 23 (iii) Tackle the crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour issues of greatest importance in each locality, increasing public confidence in the local agencies involved in dealing with these issues Indicators: “Public confidence in local agencies involved in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour”, and “The percentage of people perceiving anti-social behaviour as a problem” (measured nationally) (iv) Reduce re-offending through the improved management of offenders Indicators: “The level of proven re-offending by young and adult offenders” and “The level of serious re-offending” (measured nationally)
