Online upgrade service delivering software enhancements and maintenance Early incremental delivery of new features and enhancements comprising the next OS release 3-4 month delivery cycle for cumulative Upgrade Packs Includes Next Upgrade Release (Final Pack is the Upgrade) Proactive package availability notices via email New & updated drivers Full maintenance and security patches

5 What is the Unix Upgrade Service Option? Service requires SCO Update license Bundled with OS purchase at 15% uplift of Edition Price Sold as an add-on license - 20% of Edition Price Licenses are Edition specific Fee applies thru next OS Upgrade Service is Optional at Customer Choice May be purchased retroactively at any future date prior to next OS Upgrade cut off announcement at introduction of next to last pack Renewable license sold per copy for SCO UnixWare 7.1.3 and OpenServer 5.0.7 Partner notified of upcoming renewal 90, 60 & 30 days prior Purchased through standard SCO channels

6 Replaces SWiM Program SCO Update replaced SCO Services Sales (Rainmaker) SWiM program effective 2/1/03 SWiM contracts will be honored through expiration of contract Promo in Q303 with incentive to convert to SCO Update Expiring SWiM contracts renewed by SCO Inside Sales to SCO Update Contact partners prior to SWiM contract expiration Works closely with partners to renew contracts Questions regarding SWiM renewals? 7 Features of Upgrade Service Option OS product improvements and enhancements deployed when ready in Upgrade Packs No longer batched up for the next point release No longer disruptive major upgrades Can be deployed as available or in batches Incremental distribution of next release Flexible and simple delivery options Online or optionally via CD Easy deployment via download page Price Protection for Upgrades Future Upgrades will be at Trade-In pricing, ~50% of list Customer is in control

9 Mechanics Install UW713 or OSR5.07, enter licenses as usual Register SCO Update Service: Fill out notification information (either partner or end user) Visit SCO Registration Web Site - upload data Supply CD shipping information if applicable Enter supplied activation key on server Receive notices of new packages View, download and install Upgrade Packs and other pertinent software deliverables Material not installable on unlicensed systems

11 SCO Update for SCO Linux Server Annual renewable online maintenance and upgrade protection service agreement First year is included with all SCO Linux editions for twelve months Users receive: Notification of available security patches, full maintenance and versions as they become available A convenient tool for downloading and applying updates to SCO Linux server Access to an up-to-date repository of UnitedLinux and other updates New features and drivers

12 SCO Update for SCO Linux Server Online Registration required for access Customer must enter license key from COLA Renewal Licenses to be sold through standard distribution channels Renewal notification emailed to the Reseller and notification contact 90, 60 and 30 days prior to expiration
