2 2 CSNav has lots of valuable information about careers, high school, college, and financial aid. To get started, click on any of the icons at the top of the homepage. Welcome to CSNav!

3 3 Today, we’ll explore CSNav’s career resources. Start by clicking on Career Planning. Career Planning

4 4 Click either of the “Learn About Yourself” links. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself

5 5 Find the box titled “Work Values Sorter” and click on the link to begin the test. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself > Work Values Sorter

6 6 Click “Get Started” to, well, get started. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself > Work Values Sorter

7 7 Read each card and drag it to the board to rank it by how important it is to you. Think about how important each item would be to you when it came to choosing a career. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself > Work Values Sorter

8 8 After you place the last card, review your choices and move the cards around until you are happy with your ranking. Then, click “Continue to your Results.” Career Planning > Learn About Yourself > Work Values Sorter

9 9 When you finish, record your results in your workbook. Then, reflect on the results on CSNav in the space provided. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself > Work Values Sorter

10 10 Then, click on “View Careers” to see a list of careers that match your interests. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself > Work Values Sorter

11 11 CSNav will create a list of careers that match your values. The careers will be listed in ABC order. You can sort them into different orders by click on the arrows at the top of each column. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself > Work Values Sorter

12 12 To learn more about a career, click on its name to visit its profile page. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself > Work Values Sorter

13 13 On a career profile page, you can use the tabs on the left-hand side to learn about thousands of careers. Career Planning > Explore Careers > Career Profile Pages

14 14 When you find a career you like, click “Add to Portfolio” to save it. You’ll get a checkmark for the milestone, “Saved Careers.” Career Planning > Explore Careers > Career Profile Pages

15 15 To see your checkmark, go back to “Home” by clicking on the icon on the top of the page. Then, click “Your Planning Milestones” to see your checkmarks. Your Planning Milestones

16 16 Whenever you do work on CSNav, that work gets saved in Your Portfolio. To visit Your Portfolio, click on the icon on the top OR in the middle of the page. Your Portfolio

17 17 All of your work on CSNav is saved in Your Portfolio. To see the career you just saved, check in your Career Planning Portfolio. Click here, or here. Your Portfolio > Career Planning Portfolio

18 18 Your “saved careers” are available by clicking on the “Career Plans” link. Your Portfolio > Career Planning Portfolio

19 19 On the Career Plans page, you’ll find all your career work from throughout CSNav saved. Scroll down to find the “Saved Careers” box. Your Portfolio > Career Planning Portfolio > Career Plans

20 20 In the “Saved Careers” box, you’ll find all the career profile pages you’ve added. Click on the name of a career to go back to its profile page anytime. Your Portfolio > Career Planning Portfolio > Career Plans

21 21 To return to your Work Values Sorter results, scroll back to the top of the page and click on “Career Planning” within Your Portfolio. Don’t click on the Career Planning icon! Your Portfolio > Career Planning Portfolio > All About You YES! Click here! NO! Don’t click here!

22 22 You can return to your Work Values Sorter results by clicking on “All About You” here. Your Portfolio > Career Planning Portfolio > All About You

23 23 Scroll down to find the box titled, “Work Values (from the Work Values Sorter).” Click on the date of the test that you want to go back to… Your Portfolio > Career Planning Portfolio > All About You < Work Values

24 24 …and you’ll go back to your results page. Just click on “View Careers” again to go back to your list. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself > Interest Profiler

25 25 CSNav has lots of other quizzes you can take to discover careers you might like. Just go back to Career Planning > Learn About Yourself to take another and compare results. Career Planning > Learn About Yourself
