2 Your Choice Your Voice The event will give citizens the opportunity to meet a range of service providers and obtain information relevant to their needs. Furthermore, this will be an additional chance for local people to raise and log issues of concern with agencies and Ward Councillors for action and feedback. The event will also enable local services and citizens to work together to review the current Ward priorities and if needed to identify new ones. This will then set the direction for localised services to deliver on for the next six months, after which we begin to review the Ward priorities again. Dragons Den – funded through the Ward Councillors Budget This gives individuals, groups and organisations from the Bridge Ward the chance to bid for up to £100 for an idea that would contribute towards the transformation of their neighbourhood. This can include projects which address environmental issues, sports, community engagement & participation, health, safer, community cohesion and volunteering (attracting new volunteers and celebrating existing volunteers achievements). You Decide As citizens, you decide which projects are worthy of being granted the Dragons Den money. Ward Councillors Ward Councillors work with partner services and citizens as champions of place to address issues that have an impact on people’s quality of life and bring about improvements for the area. Ward Councillors have been instrumental in consulting with various services and citizens to identify Highway improvements via the Area Capital Fund. This includes resurfacing of roads.
