5 SB 1456 Student Success Act, Continued Enrollment Priorities – effective fall, 2014 Active duty military, Veterans, Foster Youth in Good Standing EOPS/DSPS in Good Standing Continuing Students in Good Standing with Student Education Plans New Students who have completed orientation, assessment, counseling and developed Student Education Plans Loss of Enrollment Priority Earned 100+ units Are on academic or progress probation

7 SB 1440 – Transfer With A Guarantee Benefits: More degreed students Clear pathway to transfer/provides portability of degree Reduce unnecessary units and time to degree Aligns major preparation What SB 1440 Provides: Guaranteed admission to CSU system as a junior “The California State University shall grant a student priority admission to his or her local California State University campus and to a program or major that is similar to his or her community college major or area of emphasis“ SB1440 students admitted to CSU in a “similar” 120-unit BA/BS program are guaranteed to complete BA/BS in 60 semester units
