2. Paris Trip 2015 Presentation to Parents

4. Teachers Accompanying There will be 6 teachers accompanying us on the Paris trip: Mrs Kellett-group leader and assistant head teacher. Mr Barton-group leader and first aider in training. Mrs Purser-group leader Miss Fisher-group leader and first aider. Mrs Kleywegt- trip leader, group leader and head of languages. Mrs Saunders-group leader.

5. Accommodation Students will be accommodated in the hotel Ibis Paris Gare du Nord, which has a ‘3 star’ rating. Students will be sorted into groups of 6 for each room, this will be their chose however some may have to be split up, but everyone will be with at least 1 person they know. The hotel is near to the Eurostar which we will be taking to get to the hotel, which means there is less travelling and it is also in Paris, near to where the children will be doing their activities. Breakdown of Costs: A Review of the Hotel: -there will be 10 rooms including teachers. -it works out £272.00 from the overall cost for each student.

6. Transport Day of departure:  Students must be at DGGS at 7:30am.  We will be leaving DGGS at 8:00am.  From DGGS we will depart to Ebbsfleet.  We will board the Eurostar at 9:00am.  Arrive in the Gare du Nord at 11:30am (French time).  From here we will get the coach to the hotel and arrive at around 01:00pm (French time). Day of return:  Leave ‘Skip the Line: Paris Catacombs Small-Group Tour’ (our last activity) at 4:30.  Arrive at the Eurostar Gare du Nord at 6:00am.  We will board the Eurostar at 6:30am.  Arrive in Ebbsfleet at 7:00am (English time).  We will arrive at DGGS at 7:30-7:45 (English time). If there are any delays the parents will be contacted immediately.

7. Activities The students will experience a range of different activities on this trip. There will be Daytime and Evening activities every day and food will be provided at breakfast, lunch and dinner time.
