PIGMENTATION SKIN COLOR Melanin: brownish, black pigment can lead to a black, brown, or yellow skin tint depending on racial origin Albino: a person without color pigment (skin is pinkish) Erythema: reddish color caused by burns or congestion Cyanosis: bluish discoloration caused by insufficient oxygen
