8 Need to schedule an appointment? You can schedule an appointment ONLINE using your district Google account. Remember – you can only schedule during homeroom, lunch, or study hall. Use your phone and a free scanner app to scan your counselor’s QR code posted in your teacher’s room. Access your School Counselor’s webpage from any computer. Then, click the link to schedule an appointment. Stop by the NASH School Counseling office and use the IPAD. Click on your counselor’s appointment icon. You will get an email confirmation once your counselor confirms the appointment. You can use your phone to show your teacher the confirmation as your pass or print the confirmation. Please remember your teachers have to approve all appointments.

33 As name implies, SAP is about providing assistance & support to students and their families (an additional resource to the School Counseling Department) SAP helps students identify and overcome various “barriers to learning” SAP is a team effort – Coordinator (Longo), Core Team of teachers, school counselors, nurse, etc.

34 STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SAP) @ NASH: AN OVERVIEW Main services provided by SAP are individual and group support (NOT considered “counseling” or “therapy”); also help students connect with services outside of school if necessary Student involvement in SAP requires parental consent. However, CONFIDENTIALITY BETWEEN STUDENTS AND SAP TEAM MEMBERS APPLIES WITH A FEW IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS (suicide, abuse, and other life-threatening behaviors) Refer yourself or refer a friend. Also keep in mind that you may be referred by someone who is concerned about you. Be assured that we here to help you, not punish you
