Before LibGuides Student Portals without Content Management System Limitations: o Difficult to update o One dimensional…could not easily add media, layer pages o Could not track usage statistics o Users could not rate resources o Not aesthetically pleasing

Timeline 2009: Web Services Librarian created a skeleton guide for each academic discipline Summer 2010: Migrated content of old student portals into LibGuides system Added additional content to student portals Created system-specific LibGuides
