1 The Young Life Screening Process Human Resources created web based process to automate screening for all staff and volunteers!

2 The Screening Process The process is  all electronic  user-friendly  easier to track and maintain  less paperwork  less time consuming  compliant with new privacy act laws The process means  all staff and volunteers must have access to the Staff Resources site.  individuals will initiate their own screening process  results of screening will be easy to find all in one place on the Staff-Volunteer Roster. WOW!

3 What do Area Directors need to do? Step 1. Turn in new hire paperwork to be processed at the Service Center. Step 1. Register all volunteers in the Volunteers Manager application.  There is only one step for an Area Director in the new process! For your StaffFor your Volunteers P.A.R.

4 What happens next?  New staff/volunteer information will appear in your Staff-Volunteer Roster and will login to the Staff Resources site. Step 2. The new staff/volunteer is sent an e-mail with their username and password. Step 3. The new staff/volunteer may now logon to the Staff Resources site.

5 New Landing Page  A new landing page asks the user to complete their Faith & Conduct and ask for permission to run a Criminal Background Check.  They will also be asked to complete a Driver Questionnaire.  When the screening steps are completed, the user will then gain access to the Staff Resources site home page. Step 4. New staff/volunteer will complete their screening on the new landing page.

6 Your Staff- Volunteer Roster will include the screening status for each staff/volunteer. How will I know that screening is complete? Incomplete- no screening has been submitted Pending- screening is still being processed Complete- all screening has been submitted and processed Expired- need to renew Faith & Conduct and or Criminal Background Check

7 Keys to success  Make sure all new hire paperwork is turned in for new staff.  Register all new volunteers using the Volunteers Manager application.  Order the new Volunteer Registration Card at no cost for an easier registration process.  Keep your list up to date and accurate.  Encourage all your staff and volunteers to visit the Staff Resources site.  Verify all your staff and volunteers have completed the screening process by using your Staff-Volunteer Roster.
