A Neanderthals diet consisted of meat. This meat was probably mammoth. Some scientists have suggested that the Neanderthals died out because they did not eat a lot of plants.

I believe that Homo neanderthalenisis died out because they only ate meat. They couldn’t adjust to the vegetarian life style. They did not adapt well to food changes. This is may be another reason why the species Homo neandertalensis died out.
