Look under the key term; Arbeitsbuch, at the table for what you are supposed to do at home. You can find solutions for all the exercises, whether textbook or workbook, on Acorn. I will change the text color of everything we have done in class to yellow. http://acorn.acadiau.ca/course/view.php?id=12631

6 Speaking and listening We are all here to learn German. So don’t be afraid to speak! Nobody is perfect and mistakes are allowed in this class. Don’t hesitate to ask questions!! It is normal not to understand every single word of a listening comprehension, try to concentrate on the main message. Read the exercise instructions carefully and make sure you know what to do  Use your instruction list Decide whether you have to get 1.certain information 2.an overview 3.or all the details When you listen, concentrate on the words you know. Attempt the exercise, listen again and try to complete the remaining tasks.

7 Vocabulary We provide you with a vocabulary list on Acorn. Make sure to learn all the new words we cover in class  important for the Vocab Quizzes. Use your own strategy to learn the new words, maybe it helps when you use a vocabulary flash card set or a special folder. You should make a study plan to help you get the most out of this course. Try to learn in groups together with other people. Try to find word families instead of learning single words.
