11 Slide 11 New Education Section Recently the new education infotype (9022) was added to the system. In order to make sure this infotype is populated at the time an employee is hired, we are adding a new Education section to ALL Hire ISRs. The new section will be set up as a table to allow the initiator to enter as much education information as they have.

The initiator will be required to fill in the Degree field on the first line, but no other information will be required since not all employees will have multiple lines of information. For any employees with a high school diploma or less there is a selection of No Degree in the Degree field. At the time this new section is introduced, the Highest Degree field will still be on the ISR. It will no longer be required so can be left blank. That field will be removed during the next phase of changes.

The new Education section contains the following fields which match those on the education infotype: AbbreviationField NameDefinition Degree The degree earned. There is an option for No Degree. Deg YrDegree YearThe year the degree was awarded. YrsEdYear of EducationOnly filled out when No Degree is chosen for Degree. This shows the education attained. The options are: < 12 yrs High School College/No Degree High School/Ged

The new Education section contains the following fields which match those on the education infotype: AbbreviationField NameDefinition InstInstitutionThe institution where the degree was attained. CntryCountryCountry where the institution is located. This is display only and is populated automatically. Branch 1Branch Of Study 1Major field of study. Branch 2Branch Of Study 22 nd Major/Minor field of study.

17 Slide 17 The New Hiring – Faculty ISR The new Hiring – Faculty ISR was created to communicate all hire related activities for all faculty members. The Hiring – Part Time Instructors ISR will be removed from the ISR menu and those hires will now be performed on the Hiring – Faculty ISR. The Hiring – Faculty ISR is identical to the other Hire ISRs except that it contains a faculty data section that will need to be filled out for all faculty hires. The Faculty Data section is identical to the Faculty Data infotype with one additional field called Appt. End Date. This date will be needed for the end date on the Faculty Data infotype.

18 Slide 18 The New Hiring – Faculty ISR (cont.) The New Faculty Data section The new Faculty Data section will contain all of the information needed to populate the Faculty Data infotype. This section will need to be filled out for all hires on this ISR. The fields that are required depend on the Tenure Status entered. A job aid will be posted on the HR Shared Services website to help identify which fields need to be completed.

Tenure StatusCurrent tenure status Tenure Clock StartStart date for period in which tenure must be achieved Tenure DateDate tenure received Current PositionCurrent position title Current Position DateDate the current position began Primary RankDisplay only field that shows the current job assigned to the Primary Appointment. Any other appointments should have the same rank, with some exceptions.

20 Slide 20 The new Faculty Data section will contain the following fields: Field NameDefinition Current RankThe current job assigned to the position. Signifies faculty rank. (i.e. Professor-FAC, Associate Professor- FAC, Assistant Professor-FAC) Current Rank DateDate when the SAP job became active. Divisional RankIn addition to the rank designated by the job, each school may wish to assign a rank, which is organization specific. (i.e., Homewood Professor.) Divisional Rank DateDate the divisional rank is granted. The New Hiring – Faculty ISR (cont.)

Unit on the Organizational Assignment Infotype (IT0001) Leadership RoleThe name of the Leadership Role (i.e., Chairman) in the Academic Department, if applicable. Leadership Role StartThe date the role became effective Leadership Role End DateThe date the role was terminated Appt. 28 Slide 28 Conclusion The new Education section on the Hire ISRs will allow us to capture education information on all hires that has been missing up to this point. The new Hiring – Faculty ISR, along with the new Faculty Data section, will allow us to more efficiently hire and capture appointment information on faculty members. We hope all the changes that will be rolling out will continue to make the form more comprehensive and more intuitive.
