Students click on their selection taking them to either the next page in the story, or to the explanatory feedback page. Students will have the opportunity to practice the skills they have learned about making how-to books. Instructional text: ”Hello first-graders! This is Howie again, and I am here to guide you through the build-a-book workshop. You will build your own story about how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Keep in mind everything you have learned so far about making how-to books, and your book will be a great success! During this lesson I will show you all the steps you need to write your own How To book.
