2 A note from Ms. Brill: Please help remind your child Tuesday night to put their library books in their book bag for Wednesday so that they may pick new books. Reminders: -Field Trip on Oct 8 from 9:15-10:30. Parents are welcome to meet us there. -Half Day next Friday 10/3. No lunch, dismissal at 11:45. Please support your child in completing the hw packet by the end of the month. 4 A note from Ms. Brill: A full of week of kindergarten …..tired yet? Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Reminders: *Please fill out ALL forms that you have not sent in yet. Please have them into me by Monday. Thanks so much! Homework: I have sent the 1 st hw packet home. There is also information for parents on how to support their child’s work ethic at home. Packets are due 9/30. Home School Connection: *School spirit week next week! M-Wear Red and White T-Wear Orange W-Fav. Team Th-Crazy Hair Day F- Pajama Day (no slippers please) Look At What We’ve Done: ELA: We are practicing the alphabet, writing our names and even working on some pre-writing skills. We have used play-doh to form letters and even traced shapes in sand. Math: We started learning about the numbers 0-5. Please practice counting with your child and recognizing the numerals 0-5. Science/S.S.: We discussed rules of the school and how to be a good friend in our community. September 12, 2014

Reminders: -Please have all forms in to me by next week. -If your child did not bring in a picture, please send it in. Homework: -Please have a conversation with your child about school rules. Have them explain to you why we need rules and what it looks like to be safe, kind etc. Our rules are; Be safe, Be kind, Be Respectful and Be the best you can be. Home School Connection: -Please talk to your child every day about what they did at school. They may tell you they did nothing, but I assure you they did a lot. Try asking specific questions about each part of their day, because we were busy! Look At What We’ve Done: -We learned about school and classroom rules -We made a craft from the story No, David! By D. Shannon -We made a special magnet for our parents -We learned about morning meeting and how to raise our hand if we have something to say -We had gym twice this week! September 5, 2014
