16 C. Location In geography, we have two ways to describe LOCATION.

17 1. Relative Location. We can always describe what is nearby. How could you give the RELATIVE LOCATION of Stockton?

18 2. Absolute Location. This is done with a pair of coordinates. For example, Stockton is located at 38° N, 121° W

19 These two coordinates enable us to pinpoint Stockton on a map. The first coordinate, 38° N, is the LATITUDE of Stockton. The second coordinate, 121° W, is its LONGITUDE.
