1. Good and bad sides of Świdnik Świdnik is a beautiful town in the east of Poland. I was born in this town and this place has changed since then. A few years ago Świdnik was an ugly place. There were many old buildings. Today this is a more modern place with some modern buildings and shops. So there are good and bad sides of this town.

2. Good sides 1. New settlements Many new settlements are being built in Świdnik. It is good because there are many families who live in Świdnik and they need a home so they can buy it and they dont have to go to another place to live.

3. 2. Venus shopping mall It is a new building in our town. It is a huge shopping center with many shops. You can buy there everything: clothes, shoes, cosmetics, flowers, jewellery, medicines and food. It was a good idea to build it because if someone wants to buy different things he can do it in one building and he doesnt have to go outside.

4. 3. Church In Świdnik we have got beautiful churches, so people go to church very willingly. These buildings are very interesting places because there is a lot of decoration inside them.

5. 4. Swimming pool It is a good place to relax in summer. You can go there to swim, sunbathe or play volleyball on the warm sand. People go there during holidays. You can meet many teenagers there.

6. 5. Red Crosss containers In Świdnik we have a few special Red Crosss containers. People put the clothes which they dont wear to those containers. These clothes are given to poor people. I think it is very nice and helpful. It is a good way to help poor people.

7. 6. Helicopter It is the symbol of Świdnik. We are very proud of it because Świdnik is famous for the production of helicopters. Perhaps in the future we will have here a big airport. I think it will be good for our industry.

8. Bad sides 1. Rubbish We have a lot of rubbish in Świdnik. Many people drop litter in forests and parks. We shouldnt do it because we pollute the environment. We must sort the litter.

9. 2. Graffiti Many teenagers vandalize the buildings. They paint graffiti on it and use a foul language to write rude words in them. The walls look terrible. The police should punish them but vandals are very clever and they do not let the police to catch them.

10. 3.Sleazy hospital I think that hospital is sleazy and it should be renovated. I think that it is possible to find money for it. Many people are ill and they want to have a little bit more comfort.

11. 5. Roads The roads are in bad condition. It is the main reason of many accidents. If the roads are leaky, there is a strong chance for an accident. I think that the workmen should repair them.

12. To sum up I think that it is very good that Świdnik became a more beautiful town. I hope that in the future this town wont have any bad points. I am very happy that I live in Świdnik because it is a very nice place. By Magda Serafińczuk 2B1
