5 Harmful substances in tobacco l Cigarette Smoke has poisonous chemicals 4000+ chemicals in cigarette smoke 40 carcinogens (cancer-causing agents) l Nicotine is the addictive drug that is found in all tobacco products; causes heart disease l Tar is the sticky, black substance in tobacco l Carbon Monoxide is a gas that blocks oxygen from getting into the bloodstream l Ammonia is found in bathroom cleaners
