Little pieces of advice… *Adapted from Dorothy Kaiser, Registrar’s Office, Hardin-Simmons University 10. Know catalog requirements for YOUR degree program. 9. Become familiar with the academic calendar: http://registrar.tamu.edu/General/Calendar.aspx. http://registrar.tamu.edu/General/Calendar.aspx 8. Your friends are great, but be sure to listen and ask questions of your ADVISOR. 7. Your parents are awesome, but you’ve got to take care of your business. 6. Be sure to follow instructions for a process or procedure. 5. Policies & deadlines are real. They apply to everyone; YOU are not an exception. 4. Take ownership of your mistakes. Blaming others never resolves anything. 3. Be sure to keep your contact information current. 2. There is no shame in asking for help. ASK! 1. Make sure you GO TO CLASS!
