3 Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Tourism services, Practise, Law 1st and 2nd form – 1 day ( 6 lessons ) 3rd form – 3 days ( 21 lessons )

4 1. Theory (Sanitary science – first aid, transport education, ecology, technical sports, self – defence, owning firearms, environment and humanitary organizations) 2. Practise - sanitary preparation – treatment of common illnesses and injuries - extraordinary situations – fire, explosions, soil drift, earthquake, radiation, air catastrophe, other natural disasters - camping in the nature – building tents, food preparation, environment cleaning, getting known with herbs and protected plants - technical sports and acitivities – excursions with activities: sport shooting, radio amateur, sport diving, modelling, aviation sport and parachuting, climbing, etc.

5 - obligatory in the 1st form : 1 – 2 lessons per week › introduces basic ecological principles › importance of ecology for environment protection and people´s health › helps create ecological awareness, feelings and attitudes from the aspects of sustainaible development › should be taught through developing small projects oriented to environmental issues

7 - Position and relationships between ecology science and other sciences - Importance of ecology information for our life - biotic and abiotic components of the environment -Importance of plants for the life on the Earth -Vegetation kingdom – classification -Ways of nature protection and protected flora

8 - demonstrates how fauna depends on concrete biotic and abiotic environment complements - explains mutual relationships among animal species - describes ecosystems – energy transport, biomass production, ecosystem development, dynamism, productivity, food chains, ecology balance and diversity

9 - explains natural (inborn) behaviour: instincts, drives, biorythm - lerned behaviour - introduces environmental law in the Slovak Republic (protection of nature and country) - identifies endangered species of plants and animals - introduces protected areas in the Slovak Republic

10 - explains the principles of sustainable development describes the global problems (reasons, consequences, solutions): deforestation, acid rains, ozone layer, air, water and soil pollution, garbage management, greenhouse effect, enlarging desert areas, soil erosion, population explosion, toxic substances, biodiversity loss - promotes friendly attitude towards environment, reasonable exploitation of natural resources - introduces international cooperation in environment area, basic conventions and agreements

11 - emphasizes health as the main condition of personal development - explains the healthy lifestyle and determining factors - identifies the key factors of health endangering - describes unhealthy lifestyle, drug addiction

12 -s-should be combination of different forms and methods supporting an independent work of students through: › Developing papers › Developing environmental projects › Organising workshops on environmental issues
