2. Recent/Upcoming Events Volunteer Week Student Services and Opportunities Awareness Week Enviro – Week Speaker Event: Ralph Nader Clubs’ Forum Philanthropy Week

3. Volunteer Week Summary: Positives Organized well on the part of the Volunteer Commissioners. Additional information relating to volunteer organizations in the London community has been made available for the Council’s use as a result of the Volunteer Commissioners’ efforts. The creation of a volunteer organization database is underway.

4. Volunteer Week Negatives Student apathy toward the Volunteer organizations partaking in this event was prevalent throughout the week. Path Forward? In future years this fair may be better received in the new Student Life Centre.

5. Student Services and Opportunities Awareness Week Summary Oct 22-23 Student Services Organizations will be distributing information relating to their operations to Students in Labatt Hall. Oct 23 Speaker Event: featuring Youth Opportunities Unlimited, the YMCA, and Keeping Kids Warm. Oct 24 Student Outreach Commissioners will be distributing pamphlets to students. Theses pamphlets will contain information relating to the services provided to students by various organizations across campus.

6. Enviro – Week Summary Taking place from Nov 11-15 Activities Include: Camping Trip – Nov 8 Hike-Nov 12 Documentary – Nov 13 Ralph Nader – Nov 15

7. Ralph Nader Summary of Event Speech commences at 7pm. The focus of the speech will be on the impact that social change has on business and the market. The Speech will be followed by a question period as well as a reception.

8. Clubs’ Forum Event Summary This event will take place on November 18, beginning at 5pm. This event will consist of a roundtable discussion involving all club presidents within the KUCSC clubs system. This event will be chaired by the VP Student Issues. Preparation The response from prospective participants of this event has so far been positive.

9. Philanthropy Summary of Event This event will take place during the last week of November. Participants will likely include: The Hospitality Centre, The Ministry, Keeping Kids Warm, and The Salvation Army. Bins will be set up across campus for the collection of donations to be facilitated.
