5. Changing a Tire Only change a tire in a safe place:  Away from traffic  Level surface  Good lighting  Use flares and reflective signals Your spare tire:  Maintain it just like the other tires  Replace it promptly after use Know how to use the equipment: never put any part of your body under the vehicle while it is on a jack!
