2 Recruitment Recruitment refers to the overall process of attracting, selecting and appointing suitable candidates for jobs within an organization, either permanent or temporary. Recruitment can also refer to processes involved in choosing individuals for unpaid positions, such as voluntary roles or training programs.

6 Why do you want to Recruit?  Grow the club - small numbers  Succession planning - as current members age, relocate, leave  New skills – lawyer, accountant, webmaster  New ideas – fund raising, service projects, advocacy

8 Where are you going to Recruit? Your Community (traditional clubs) Club fund raising events Club Service events Club Advocacy events Your Personal Network

9 How are you going to recruit? Create a Data Base of Prospective Members Newspaper clippings Professional Directories Chamber of Commerce Placemats in diners Business cards in restaurants Non-profit newsletters/inserts in bills Yellow Pages/Yellow BookBlue pages of phone books

11 When do you recruit? NOW Building a data base is a lot of work Keep an list of the names that attend every event. Weekly/monthly update your list through the methods above This needs to be in a time sequence that is relevant to the event

15 Zonta International North America Task Force Proposals are currently being worked on by teams of Governors and Lt. Governors along with SOM appointed members from Districts and International The International Board will be reviewing and making final recommendations on the tools and the process to be formulated as a standard template.
