6 Privacy and Confidentiality We have… An ethical and legal obligation to maintain your privacy and confidentiality We can speak with someone on your behalf with your explicit written permission We are only permitted to breach privacy and confidentiality if you or someone else is in imminent danger to yourself or another or in the case of a child, elderly, or disabled person being at risk for some form of abuse

10 What to Notice in Yourself and Others Mood: irritability, sadness, anger, frustration, exuberant moods, anxiety Appetite: too little, too much Energy: fatigued, more energetic Concentration difficulties Sleep patterns: too much, too little, trouble falling or staying asleep Motivation to engage with work, people Lower interest in activities, work, relationships Thoughts: self-critical, racing thoughts, ruminations Loss of meaning in life goals, spiritual/religious belief

Some symptoms may suggest that your life/work balance is a bit distressed Sleep, eating, exercise/stress management, social connectedness are important elements of maintaining good self-care Constellations of symptoms can indicate anxiety, mood dysregulation, eating concerns, learning or attention issues

12 Getting Started at CAMHS Schedule a 20 min telephone consultation, at your convenience Weekdays 8am-5pm 617.495.2042 Schedule online via HUHS portal or by calling Daytime Urgent Care appointments Weekday, business days 9am-5pm After Hours Urgent Care 617.495.5711 Two mental health providers on-call each evening, 24 hours/day on weekends and holidays, 365 days/yr Telephone and in-person assessment available

You can request a change in treatment by contacting the telephone consultation line or by speaking with your current counselor about what is not working in order to make a change.
