1 Task Instrumentality Continued… Class Rules 1.) Respect each other 2.) Keep hands and feet to yourself 3.) Always listen 4.) Be safe and walk 5.) Use an inside voice 6.) Use “0” level voices in line This set of classroom rule is always reviewed and reminded by the teacher daily to the students. This helps the students engage better in group activities and also as a whole class.

2 Pleasure Similar to the security and shelter, students get their “freedom/free-time” at a certain time. Including stations that make class enjoyable for students, the teacher also provides stickers/sticker charts for students who accomplishes all their tasks or does anything very responsible throughout the day. The students try to reach a goal of filling up their sticker charts. They win prizes after the chart is filled. Students also receive a brand new pencil on their birthdays. It is one way of recognizing their day and making it special. Mrs. Dunkum asks the birthday student to go to the library with a friend to receive the pencil.

3 Growth

4 Growth Continued… Students are only allowed to use the math area when the teacher is teaching that criteria/lesson. The math section includes place value/number blocks, worksheets, games relating to math, and a lot more. The teacher allows students to read the books, however, they have to be put back in the bin where it was first found. Last but not least, the graph/chart is used to show the increased level/time of reading each week. She tries to expand each week by 2-3 minutes depending on their weekly achievement. The students use the graph to see their accomplishments!
