Great Lakes Commission Advocacy  National AIS Screening Fly-In H.R. 669: Nonnative Wildlife Invasion Prevention Act:  Introduced by Chairwoman Bordallo on Jan. 26, 2009 under the House Subcommittee on Insular Affairs, Oceans and Wildlife.  Legislation provides a proactive, scientifically based approach to pre-import screening to prevent the introduction and spread of high risk nonnative wildlife species into the United States given their potential to disrupt the economy, the environment, human health or native wildlife.
