3 CLASS PROCEDURES CLASSWORK Expectation all work will be done in class. Quality work is given or student will redo. Students keep work on clipboard. Sometimes individual or group work given. HOMEWORK Log signed and turned in daily. Reading every night. (20 min.) Students are welcome to check out books. Math: Study basic math facts daily Word Study: nightly word sorts Sometimes Writing, S.S., and Science All work will be turned in by due date

9 Reading: anecdotal notes, observation, reading log, comprehension work, and DRA Math: pre and post testing and daily work Sci/S.S.: end of unit tests, projects, classwork Word Study: word sorts, tests, activities Report Cards: 3,2,1 flip Test Preparation Material taught in class Review sent home Review given in class Retakes allowed two days after test is returned. 12 FOOD Peanut-Alert School Breakfast is an option before school Lunch: 12:40-1:25 Snack: daily, nutritious please Birthday Treats: not necessary but must be sent in individually wrapped. Please plan for twenty-one students.

13 PARENT INVOLVEMENT Volunteers: please make arrangements with me. You are welcome to work with the students or help with “paper” work Room parent to organize class celebrations: Halloween, Holiday, and Valentines Daily at home: nightly reading and homework, signing log, reading newsletter, checking power grade, etc. Students have access to PowerSchool. Grades can be checked at any time.
