5 Product Concept In order to grow overall market share, Konica Minolta has created strong black & white models Overall market share for color is increasing Overall market share for black & white is decreasing Konica Minolta is dedicated to ensure that our products are highly competitive, so that monochrome can be offered along with the overall line-up of color products Due to economical situations, government and large corporations are still slow in adopting color. Konica Minolta has made available very strong monochrome product line to fulfill their needs New Konica Minolta Alliance Program Plus (KMAP+) IPv6 as well as CAC card support (IC Card Authentication) Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is designated as the successor of IPv4 bizhub 751/601 Series will provide full support for the new IPv6 next-generation network protocol Konica Minolta has also added the ability to utilize the latest CAC card support (not available at time of launch)

6 Product Concept Same engine base as bizhub 750/600 models
751/601 offer the same unfailing performance and reliability of their predecessors along with additional advancements Similar product features to current MRC product line Support authentication devices, bEST, Windows Vista support with native XPS interpreter, etc. up to the level of C650-series and C353-series Implement the color touch panel of C650-series and C353-series Engine Comply with the new Energy Star and Blue Angel Mark Maintain the same finishing capabilities of current bizhub 750/600

7 Target Markets Central to productivity and high volumes
High volume environments including busy corporate offices and large departments Reprographic Departments such as Print for Pay (PFP) Corporate Central Reprographic Departments (CRD) Environments relying on separate machines for output, copying, scanning and printing Environments that require high speeds to turn jobs around quickly Environments that require extensive finishing capabilities and, above all, reliability and durability Users/departments who do not have a need for color printing, copying, or scanning

46 Scan-to-WebDAV

47 Scan-to-WebDAV What is Scan-to-WebDAV?
Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning Publish content to an Internet Information Services (IIS) web server What ADVANTAGES does Scan-to-WebDAV offer? More secure than Scan-to-FTP, the “traditional” method of uploading content on a web server Uses Port 80, the same port used by HTTP for Web Access -no need to open extra ports on your firewall, thereby making the network more secure Lets only ONE user modify the file at a time, while multiple users can read the file No need to download content locally on the client

48 bizhub Send Can SEND to Scan and Fax destinations on the SAME screen
Fax/Scan Key are ONE KEY

49 bizhub Send Device supports the ability to PRINT at the same time a document is distributed to a Scan and/or Fax destination

50 bizhub Send bizhub Send icons & selections will vary based on device configuration Destinations can be in the following combinations: G3 Fax 100 Programmed Destination 500 5 FTP 5 SMB 5 WebDAV 5 = Addition to bizhub 750/600 Box 1 Total

58 Support for IPv6 Next-Generation Network Protocol
Acronym for Internet Protocol version 6 Network IP standard used by electronic devices to exchange data across the network IPv4 is now nearly twenty years old There is a growing shortage of IPv4 addresses Government requires IPv6 support on all new equipment Main feature of IPv6 is the larger address space: addresses in IPv6 are 128 bits long versus 32 bits in IPv4

59 Support for IPv6 Next-Generation Network Protocol

60 IPv6 versus IPv4

61 XPS What is XPS? New Windows Vista File Format PDL
XPS File Format is similar to Adobe PDF XPS Files can be created Free of Charge Unlike PDF file format that requires Adobe Acrobat You can use XPS as a PDL in place of PCL or PS Because of our close relationship with Microsoft Konica Minolta’s native XPS print capability was designed & developed in-house Competition must rely on 3rd party to perform XPS printing

62 Web Service On Device Support
Known as “DPWS” (Devices Profile for Web Services) Also referred to as “WSD” Network protocol supported by Windows Vista Communication via the HTTP protocol Encryption possible via SSL/TLS Facilitates detection and data exchange for MFPs and printers on the network

63 Web Service On Device Support
DPWS (WSD) - Print When discovery & driver installation are complete, device can be used as a network printer Printer Status can be confirmed through the printer window or spooler DPWS (WSD) - Scan When discover & driver installation are complete, device can be used as a network scanner Pull Scan from Windows Vista supported Push Scan from an MFP to Windows Vista supported

64 Unified Printer Driver GUI
Konica Minolta Common Driver Unification between Printer, MFP & PDL Languages Improved Operability More hints & explanations about constraints bizhub 751/601 pagepro 5650EN

65 PC – FAX Driver IC-202: PC – Fax is a function of the PCL driver
IC-208: as an independent FAX driver PC-Fax which is one function of the PCL driver, with IC-208 as a FAX driver independence loading. IC-202 bizhub 750/600 IC-208 bizhub 751/601

66 Encrypted Network Password Printing
Protects Authentication Credentials User Authentication, Account Track & Secure Print Passwords Encryption Passphrase is defined by System Administrator Passphrase must be 20 alphanumeric characters

67 Encrypted Network Password Printing
For User-Definable Passphrase, enable on MFP via Administrator Mode FIRST K E Y S T R O Please note that even if this function is NOT activated, the Authentication Credentials (User Authentication, Account Track, Secure Print) are still encrypted. The Authentication Credentials are encrypted using the system default (vs. using an encryption passphrase set by the System Administrator).
