7 What is naturalization? The process of becoming a citizen of the United States

8 What is deportation? The process of sending illegal immigrants back to their home country.

9 What is the difference between an alien & an immigrant? Alien – a person who comes to the US, plans on returning to their home country. Immigrant – a person who comes to the US, plans on staying in the US.
