16. School Hours The first bell rings at 7:35 a.m. The school day begins at 7:40 a.m. with KTIM announcements and breakfast After 7:45, your child will need a tardy slip from the front office

17. Attendance It is very important to attend school each day so your child does not get behind. If you know your child is going to be absent, please call or send a note and I can try to give them their work ahead of time. If your child is ill, please send a note with an excuse to the office. Office note is required to return to classroom after a being absent Must be in school at 10:00, otherwise counted absent

18. Dress Code We follow the GCISD dress code. 19. Cafeteria Breakfast in the Classroom – Cafeteria account is charged. If the balance is empty, students are not allowed to eat breakfast Lunch is at 11:20 and ends at 11:50 Parents may join their child for lunch/eat at tables on stage.

20. Birthday Celebrations Celebrations take place in the classroom in the afternoon. Please give 24 hour or more notice so we plan time for the celebration Classroom birthday celebrations may not be served in the cafeteria where meals from the Nutrition Services Department are being served and consumed. Birthday celebrations must take place in the classroom or in the cafeteria after all meals have been served.

24. Parent Support Please check and sign Green folders each day! Please be a motivator for your child to succeed in school. Please ask questions if you are not sure about something! Please remember that your child needs to be more responsible with your support. Please help make sure homework is completed and neat. Please communicate any concerns or ideas with me. (not enough challenge, too much challenge, just right…)
