Evaluation Criteria Before starting the exposition of our point of view on the Evaluation Criteria, we would note that Evaluation criteria should be established with several factors in mind:  Criteria have to be project or student/teachers oriented;  Criteria have to reflect explicit performance targets (i.e.: age of the students);  Criteria have not to be subjective;  Criteria have not to indicate relative accomplishment or degrees;  Criteria should cover all important attributes or aspects of the project;  Criteria should be acceptable and accepted by everybody.

Evaluation Criteria Reading the project, we assumed a clear evidence of the importance of evaluation. Evaluation is of clear importance because the evaluation framework allows not only to evaluate the project but also to provide the same with other activities that we normally do in our schools. We want to remark here that, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to come up with such a complete scheme that attempts to create a common evaluation platform not only for evaluation but also for meaningful comparisons. As this is a very ambitious objective to be achieved by this deliverable in one attempt, we have approached it from the angle of a working document that will be periodically updated

Evaluation Criteria According to the project “there will be an initial evaluation, which will establish the departure situation, followed by a formative evaluation, designed to discover any possible anomaly in the development of the project and to offer solutions for adjustment regarding the results, the collaboration, the communication, the coordination, the activities, and the implication. At the end of the first year of project there will be a project meeting where the evolution of the project will be discussed and measures of adjustment will be considered. The final evaluation will concentrate on the long-term effect of the project, of its impact on students participating in the project, on the teachers and on the institution in general. The instruments we will use in evaluating the project will be the questionnaire, the observation, the interview, the measurement of the level of participation, the project diary, the documents analysis, the group discussion with students and teachers, the reports”.

Evaluation Criteria  In this context, the evaluation has to be done in particular moments of the project:  At the beginning;  At the end of the 1 st year of work;  At the end of the project. But, we have an evaluation phase at the end of every study meeting, too.

Evaluation Criteria  Being so, some ideas can be discussed here:  We suggest to create an Evaluation Team made by 1 member for every school. The members have to be chosen time by time by the schools and have to work together using e-mails, telephone etc.  We can create a taxonomy in the form of interrelated tables that will constitute the basis for the evaluation framework. This taxonomy comprehends:  completeness of the work done  adherence of the work to the plan (is it complete? Has every partner done the right work? is the work of the partners adherent to the plan ? and in what measures?  Instruments to be used can be the oral questionnaire, the observation, the interview, the measurement of the level of participation, the project diary, the documents analysis, the group discussion with students and teachers, the reports No marks will be given to the work of the partner schools, but if the team notes that something is wrong, has to contact the coordinator school and the school having problems. The team will do a very short written report of the evaluation for every meeting, according to the following model:

Evaluation Criteria  Date:  Place of the meeting (or communication instrument used):  Evaluators (name, surname, school and country):  Things observed:  Evaluation:  Suggestions:  Signature of the evaluators

Evaluation Criteria As things stand, it’s clear that we are all teachers and so we believe that the best way to work is having functional criteria and the possibility to work in a fast way, but correctly. Of course, at the end of the 1 st year of project and at the end of the project everyone of us will have particular works or evaluations to do with his own National Agency. Thank you for your attention
