1 Mozart By Mia Venturini

2 Genre Classical music including symphony (string, woodwind, brass), opera, solo concerto ( 1 person), chamber music including string quartet (4 string instruments), string quintet (5 string instruments), the piano sonata and a lot of religious music. Mozart composed over 600 pieces of music. He travelled all over Europe and had a gift for absorbing valuable features of others music. In London as a child he met J.C Bach and heard his music. In Paris, Manheim and Vienna he met with other composers. In Italy he came across the Italian Overture and Opera Buffa, both of which deeply affected the development of his own music.

3 Background Mozart’s name is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart but he was baptised as Johannes Chrysastomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart. Mozart was born on the 27 th of January,1756 in Salzburg which is in Austria. Mozart’s parents were Leopold, a musician in a church in Salzburg and Anna Maria Pertl. The family was not rich, but Leopold’s good reputation guaranteed a comfortable life for the Mozart’s. Around 1760 Mozart began to learn the harp, violin and writing music. Between 5 and 6 years old, he was ready to perform in public. He composed his first works at the end of 1761. In January, 1762, with his father and sister, he left on his first trip to Munich to perform in front of European Royalty. He had two son’s and a wife too. Mozart died on December the 5 th,1791 in Vienna that’s in Austria too.

4 Achievements It is common belief that musicians have a great amount of skill. When Mozart was younger he composed at five years old Not just that! He did it In front of European royalty. In the eighteenth century, particularly gifted children Performed before courts and in royal palaces. Mozart was very famous in his child hood.

5 Facts Mozart’s name is wolfgang Amadeus Mozart but he was baptised as Johannes Chrysastomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart. That is the name he was born with but he is known as Mozart. Mozart learned from his father to recognize musical notes, subdivide the tempo, and produce his first composition exercise even before he could read or write. Mozart’s music is still played and performed by many musicians today.
